School group arriving There’s a story behind every work in the collection, and we’re here to help you discover it. Let us guide you on a highlights tour of the galleries or the Museum Park. Bring the family, and enjoy a festival, a performance or a self-guided treasure hunt. And don’t miss our on-line programs for kids in the Students section. If you’re a teacher, we have many resources on-line or those we can send right to your classroom. You can even find information in our library or from a curator.

Explore the links above to find all these and more services and opportunities for you to participate in at your Museum of Art.

New! NCMA Track-Out Camps

Let your child’s ideas and imagination soar throughout the year! Children can now explore nature and the arts while “tracked-out” of year-round education. Track-Out Programs include activities for children ages 6–8 and 9–12 selected from drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, nature walks, gallery experiences, and interactive arts, including music, creative movement, storytelling, and poetry. Learn more here.

New! Art Challenge 101

The NCMA is issuing an on-line art challenge: We dare you to show us your artistic ingenuity. Tackle a problem explored by one of the artists in our collection, and create your own work of art and post it to Flickr. Try it by yourself or team up with family or friends. We’ll pick the top contenders to go on view in our gallery in the Education Lobby.

THE ART CHALLENGE: STELLA
Approach art from a different angle.

Use a protractor and right angles to create a work of art that DOES NOT look like the Museum's Frank Stella’s Raqqa II. You have until Friday, August 29, 2008, to give it a try. Learn how to participate.

Thank You!

We couldn't bring you excellent educational programs and resources without the help of our sponsors.
